The Dashwood sisters, along with their mother, are forced to leave their childhood estate upon the unexpected death of their father.
They move into a modest cottage located on the property of a distant cousin as they try to adjust to their new economic situation. Elinor Dashwood, the eldest sister, is sensible and reserved while Marianne is passionate and impulsive.
Though the two sisters could not be more different, their romantic trajectories take a tragically similar turn, and we come to witness the unexpected disappointments nad triumphs of these two beloved characters.
Sense and Sensibility gives us all of the wit, intrigue, and social reflection that we have come to love from Jane Austen.
